What Causes Swollen And Larger Left Leg In Six Month Old Infant?

My 6 month old granddaugher has her left leg swollen and noticeably larger than her right leg. Kaiser has begun tests for hemihypertrophy. Shou;d we be seeking a specialist?There has been one ultrasound administred withnegative results for tumors or growths.

Hemihypertrophy in infants increases the risk of certain benign and malignant tumors including hepatoblastomas (of the liver), wilm's tumor (of the kidneys), and cancer of the adrenal glands.

You would definitely need a visit to a pediatrician, so that your granddaughter would have routine followups and investigations to screen for presence of these tumors.
