What Causes Swollen And Painful Breasts Along With Fatigue?

Hi, I was on Depo for 3 years and I am 21. I haven t had a period in years and I have been off the shot since April this year and still haven t had a period. Started experiencing swollen sore lumpy breasts fatigue and cramping. Took a pregnancy test and negative.

Hello,

In my opinion, Depo may cause breast tenderness and pain. May be due to long time, breast tenderness can occur. But as you have questioned, I have to see other things checked.

I would like to give some tests:

1. Breast USG (Ultrasound)
2. Complete Blood Count
3. Thyroid Function Test (T3, T4, TSH)

It may happen that as you are not on Depo now, it may spontaneously go away, but, I will make sure you are completely safe.

Meanwhile:

1. for pain, you can take NSAIDs
2. increase vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B6, and vitamin A rich foods in your diet. Maybe multivitamin can be taken
3. You can also use Oil of Primrose if possible.

I suggest you do the tests and post another question. We have good doctors here in HCM, so, you can get good advice.
