What Causes Swollen And Painful Vulva/labia?

I have a swollen vulva/labia and it hurts more when i stand, causing difficulty sitting and or sleeping. Ibuprofen helps with the pain and reduces swelling some, only one one side. Starts midway and goes down to preanal locations. I don t know if it will go away on it s own, if I need to go to the doctor, or if it is even that serious. Started a day after having intercourse with my fiance whom neither have had a different partner since we got together.
