What Causes Swollen Ankle With Red Abrasion?

Hello, I am a 53 year old male and three days ago my ankles started swelling mostly on the outside of each ankle bone but a little all the way from just above my ankle dwon into my foot. Also I had red abrasion looking spots break out mostly around the ankle but somewhat almost to my knees. Its weird and I don't have a clue what it is. Anyone?
