What Causes Swollen Breasts And Nipples After Insertion Of Mirena?
Hi , I have been sterilised three and half weeks ago and a marina cool also inserted due to high frequency of periods . I have within the last three to four days felts extremely swollen and my breasts and nipples extremely sore .. I feel like I m gaining weight by the minute and wondered is this feeling symptoms a side effect . I have a pain in my right side as I used to have when ovulating. Thanks for your time .
It can cause hormonal imbalance and may cause increase in weight, or breast enlargement etc. and hormonal profile may be needed, however ultrasound pelvis is advised to look for the cause of eight sided pelvic pain as it can be sign of local inflammation. Meanwhile OTC analgesics like acetaminophen can be helpful alongside anti spasmodic like Drotaverine for symptomatic relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
