Detailed answer - As per your query swollen bump on tongue after eating hummus is because of oral allergy syndrome. It occurs mainly after eating raw fruits , humus along with sesame seeds or garbanzo beans. These foods give exaggeration of symptoms of geographic tongue as well.
I would suggest you to take as much probiotics as you can like yogurt. Take multivitamin rich in vitamin B12 and folic acid. Visit oral pathologist once and get culture of tongue to see the exact etiology and treatment option for that same.
Gluten containing foods are its main cause. Maintain oral hygiene with very gentle brushing and flossing. Use antimicrobial mouth wash three times a day.
