What Causes Swollen Bumps On Cheek?

I just moved into my apartment next to folsom lake in calif. and first started with flea bites looking bumps that went away then yesterday I woke up with a big bump on my cheek that when I wiped tea tree oil on it then it oozed a little puss. It s numb to the touch and a little swollen but doesn t itch or hurt.

Hello and welcome.

Insect bites can cause such a presentation especially when they get infected. I wouldn't worry too much about it as it should self-resolve without any real medical assistance.

Just make sure you keep the region clean and dry, apply a sterile bandage and a topical antibiotic like neomycin or bacitracin.
