What Causes Swollen Bumps On The Head After An Injury?
hi I fell down in Walmart 6 months ago after fainting, hitting the top of my head either on a shelf or the concrete floor. I have recurring swollen bumps there ever since, they are there right now. I was just at my doctors for a check up about anemia, ongoing for a year. I have pain in my hand and hip and I told the nurse everything but the doc did not mention my head and I forgot about it. In 6 months she has checked my iron several times, the number was coming up but is down again, but never once looked at my head.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Small bumps are quite common after fall, It is due to minor collection of blood under the skin. If you develop recurrent bumps even after six month. It is better to get evaluated and get a CT scan done to rule out any active bleeding. Get a CT scan and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
