My clitoris is swollen to about double its size. It is painful and has a YELLOW cyst that seems to have a red ring around it. It s been like this for about 3 days. Please help not sure if it s a yeast problem, bacterial infection, or injury. It did flare up after sex.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to Bartholin cyst. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication for the swelling such as Ibuprofen three tablets a day.

I also suggest soaking daily in warm water. If the symptoms continue you should consult a gynecologist for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
