What Causes Swollen Eye After Stopped Using Pred Forte?

I was diagnosed with EKC of the eye in early September 2011. I was using PredForte 4 times daily as recommended by my doctor. Last week my eye looked perfect and I was told to taper off the PredForte. Today, my eye looks worse than when I first had the problem. It is red, swollen, and warm to the touch. What should I do?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having swelling of eye and redness of eye following stopping of treatment for epidemic keratoconjunctivitis with predforte.
Predforte is a steroid eye drop used for treatment of sterile inflammations.
The recurrence of inflammatory symptoms indicate recurrence of this condition because of stopping treatment.
Hence I advice your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
