What Causes Swollen Eyes And Face Along With High Fever?
My 17 year old son mowed our 3acres today. His face and eyes have become very swollen, eyes watery, he has a temperature of 102 degrees. Gave him Benadryl about 3 hours ago, and just gave him two Advil. The swelling looks like it has come down a little. What should I do?
Noted a short history about your 17 year old son mowing 3 acres, the face and eyes got swollen, fever present, red eyes and so on, given Benedryl. This is apparently the allergic reaction to the grass and can be said to have Hay Fever. You have correctly given Benedryl, the dose should be adjusted as per the weith, Take him to the Er or your Doctor. May need steroid injection or orally. Steroid eye drops may be needed. To take rest. Not to mow the lawn again and avoid contact with anything that is likely to give such reactions. Consult a Dermatologist or Allergy Specialist for further investigations, and an appropriate management if available in your area.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
