I have had diareah for 2 weeks. I have been on a 3 day run of ciprofloxacin 250 mg that ended this morning. I had diareah this morning, but none since but have eaten very little. I was also prescribed fluorouracil by my durmotologist to burn back sun damaged areas. It has been used on my face and arms since last Sunday. For the last two days around one eye was swollen, today much worse face swollen particularly around eyes. I m not sure if I am going into renal issues or if this swelling is from the burn back cream. Though I am supposed to do that burnback cream for a month I will stop it now to see is swelling gets better. I also am short of breath but am out of one of my inhealers. It is the weekend and I live in a remote area but I don t want to cause myself real damage if there is something really serious going on. Any thoughts?,,Vicki
Hi. As per your case history you are having angioedema. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid fast food and food with artificial colors for 2 months. 2. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days. 3. It may be drug induced, so avoid any new medications without consulting a doctor.
