General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Rarely lymphatic flow abnormalities may occur but you should get those examined and if swelling or edema is putting, urinalysis for proteinuria and renal and liver function tests should be evaluated. Also, cardiac work up with a baseline echocardiogram should be done. Meanwhile, while lying, pillow under the legs may be helpful along with salt restriction.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
