Hello Sir, My mother is a diabetic and she has been suffering from swollen foot since 2 weeks. I consulted a specialist hear in my city and she showed some improvements as well but again now she is suffering from the same trouble and moreover she does have fever these days as well. please suggest what needs to be done and what is her exact state.

Hello, Welcome to HCM I understand your concerns.As your mother is a diabetic,swelling in the foot is due to cellulitis.
Cellulitis is the inflammation of the subcutaneous tissues that commonly occurs in long standing diabetics.So,i would suggest her to
1.Give hot fomentation at the site of swelling 3-4 tmes daily. 2.Take a course of antibiotics like cap.novamox 3.Take analgesics like tablet.ibuprofen for pain and Tab.paracetmol for fever. By,this it will subside.
