What Causes Swollen Gland In Left Armpit,pain In Shoulder And From Neck To Head?

My BF had kidney cancer that 1/2 was removed almost 2 years ago and was given clean bill of health, however, as of late I noticed a swollen gland under his left armpit, having problems with his left shoulder with similar to rotator cuff symptoms, sharp pains start at his neck into his head and lasts for several minutes at a time, loss of weight??

was he on any chemotherapy? have ou had regular follow ups..chance of spread is less likely..but there could be a chance...or else it can even be a minor lymph node enlargment due to infection..so do basic blood investigation and check if there is any metastasis and occurence of primary tumour again....
