I have a swollen neck gland, doesn t hurt, it s just abnormally enlarged and has been that way for about a week now, I thought I might have a bladder infection, will this cause swollen glands? I am 42, 5 11 and weight about 172
No bladder infection can cause swelling neck. You need to do an ultrasound neck to see the nature of the swelling. If needed FNAC of the gland is needed. Please check your thyroid profile also.
The swelling neck may be due to thyroid, Parotid gland. It may be due to any cyst or any inflammation of a gland. So, the above test needs to be done. In the meantime start an antibiotic tablet Augmentin 1 tab twice daily for 7 days.
