What Causes Swollen Gland On Neck After Heavy Kissing?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... Hello, My issue is that I have noticed that everytime I get involved in heavy kissing, it seems that within 24-48hrs I get a swollen gland on the left side of my lower neck. It is very tender and painful to turn my neck, I get feverish and fatigue.

Hello,

It may be due to:
1. Infectious mononucleosis
2. Herpes simplex virus.
3. Streptococcus pharyngitis.
4. Rarely due to other viral infections.

Get it done throat examination and throat swab culture. Use tablet amoxicillin and clavulinic acid 625 mg twice a day for five days. If the symptoms not improved please consult with your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
