What Causes Swollen Glands And White Dots Inside The Mouth?

Hi i am 25 and i usually smoke and drink beer from last 2 weeks i am suffering from swollen gland inside my mouth and its getting bigger and bigger day by day also it has some white dots inside that . I am also suffering from tonsillitis but i have that the symptoms used be fever , problems while eating etc but now its not like that Its only the swollen glands with with patches on it i can see no other symptoms of tonsillitis and also i dont think i have any symptom of throat cancer.Plz advice me what is that ...

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM team.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of swollen glands and white dots inside the mouth which seems to be poor immunity and improper hygiene of oral cavity. Generally they go away by their own in 10-12 days.

I would suggest you to :

- Apply hydrogen peroxide solution in diluted form.

- Apply lidocain gel like medijel gel before eating as it will relieve pain.

- Take plenty of fluids and diet rich in multivitamins.

-Do warm water rinses and avoid citrus fruits until the condition will get back to normal .

If condition persists for more then 10 days or get worse consult dentist for proper evaluation .Your doctor may prescribe you topical steroid and topical antibiotic like chlortetracycline. Go for biopsy of lesion to rule out exact cause and malignancy if any.
