What Causes Swollen Glands In The Neck And Cough Despite Taking Z-Pak?
My husband was Dx with strep throat three weeks ago.Had fever and chills and headache. Was given amoxilcillin.Wasn t much better after 7 days, went to an urgent care and then did a test for mono, it was negative, but they gave him a Z pak. Fever is gone, but glands still swollen, now has a cough and has lost 15 pounds due to lack of appetitie. Very very tired.

Nothing to worry. Pharyngotonsillitis is notorious to recur. Continue providone iodine gitgle*1:1 3-4 times daily, tab coamoxyclav 625 bd×10 days, cap vit b complex one tab daily, tab pantoprazole 40 once daily.....hope get well soon
