What Causes Swollen Glands On Underside Of Face For Type2 Diabetic?

I have been diagnosed recently with type 2 diabetes. I am on 4 different medications for it. Januvia, Replinogide (? spelling) Metformin and Invokana. I have begun to have swollen glands on the underside of my face and my teeth are hurting/bleeding. Underneath my tongue hurts as if I have the flu. I am wondering if it is the meds?

Hello & Welcome to HCM,

I had gone through the case and found that the location as you mentioned might be parotities or due to infection in teeth which causes glandular swelling.

Medicine does not cause the swelling of any gland.

So I will advise you to consult your local physician to find out the exact cause of gland inflammation and take proper course of antibiotic.

If not cured then go for biopsy of gland. But I think it will be cured by medicine.

Hope my answer will be effective for you.

Thanks,
