What Causes Swollen Glands Under The Jawline Along With Headache?

my glands under my jaw line are always swollen , I clench my jaw when I sleep and have always been a grinder of my teeth but since having my teeth removed I don t seem to grind anymore but still clench , I wake up with head aches most mornings and my glands seem to be swollen all day every day , just wondering could it be linked to sinus of some sort , I don t sneeze a lot or have itchy eyes ?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Swollen glands under the jaw are commonly due to infection. As the swollen glands are under the jaw then infection can be higher up like in head structures on oral and facial region..
It is however not appearing to be due to bruxism or grinding or clenching of teeth..
Consult an Oral Physician or General Physician and get yourself examined so that the cause can be pinpointed and appropriate investigations like x ray, ultrasound and FNAC can be carried out for diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
If it is secondary to infection then antibiotics can help in relieving the symptoms..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
