What Causes Swollen Glands With Strep Throat?

hey doc its been about a week i cant open my jaw ive been to numerous doctor and they say i have strep throat. ive been salt water gargling taking antibiotics and advill to reduce the pain but i still have swollen glands and i still cant open my mouth more then about half an inch. swallowing is getting easier but actually getting food in my mouth is a problem im in a lot of pain and i need help.

Restricted mouth opening is muscle spasm, can't just let it be. Need an xray or a CT and IV antibiotics to resolve this kind of an infection.kindly contact me / ent at the earliest. In the meantime start on augmentin/ flagyl antibiotics combination
