Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain the symptoms appears to occur due to some infection with the gums or tooth and not due to eating chips..

If you have swollen gums and no tooth seems to be infected then the swelling is due to infected gums..

In case if there is any deeply infected tooth in that area then pus formation near the root tips of the infected tooth is the reason for the yellow discharge..

I would suggest you to consult a dentist and get evaluated..An x ray can give a correct diagnosis..

In case of infection in gums scaling followed by antibiotics can help..

In case of infected tooth either root canal treatment or extraction of tooth as per condition of tooth can be relieving..

Hope your query is solved..
