What Causes Swollen Labia For A 50-year-old Female?

Embarrassing question, if I weren t a Labor and Delivery RN I d probably be embarrassed . Ok, s/s only swollen labia, small amount of itch but almost not worthy of mention. Came out of nowhere, I ve changed nothing, any ideas??? I am 50 years old, been married for 35 years to the same man and have never had this happen.

Hi,

It could be infectious dear and you should get your CBC and a swan taken. Take a short course of antibiotic it should help.
