What Causes Swollen Legs Despite Taking Metformin And Tylenol In A Diabetic?
I am type two diabetic. My legs and feet swell. Elevation at nigh helps. Feel like fire in legs. Take oral meds. Metformin, glipizide, a water pill, potassium. Doctor has also recommended compression socks. With Tylenol to fight pain. What else can I do?
Possible causes like renal dysfunction and hypoalbunemia must be ruled out. Consult a physician and get evaluated. A renal function test and serum protein assay are required to make a diagnosis. Other possibilities like long standing hypertension can also cause pedal edema.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
