What Causes Swollen Lips And Legs Along With Burning Sensation In Mouth?

I have had swelling in my ankles and legs most afternoons and it progresses until I get home from work and put my feet up for an hour. At times, my wrists and my lips also swell. The inside of my mouth burns and my lips are swollen and dry.

When I am at home, the swelling is not as prominent but the swelling of the lips and the burning in my mouth continues.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain there can to be 2 conditions one causing swollen feet and ankles and wrists while other causing burning mouth and lips.
Swollen ankles and feet can occur due to excessive fluid accumulation due to excessive standing or sitting in a same posture, disorders related to heart and liver, hypothyroidism, lymphedema etc..

The burning of mouth and swollen lips can be due to allergic reaction to any medication, nutritional deficiency of iron and vitamin B12, stress, oral infections, hormonal changes etc..

You should consult a Physician and get evaluated and he can do a thorough clinical evaluation and rule out the exact cause and advise you necessary investigations to confirm the cause and advise you the treatment accordingly..

As of now elevation of feet can help in reducing swelling..

For burning mouth and swollen lips you need to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and proper evaluation and diagnosis can help in resolving symptoms..
As of now you can gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine for relief from burning..
Sucking ice and cold water gargles also help by reducing inflammation..
Avoid spicy,hot and acidic foods..
Drink plenty of water and chew sugarfree chewing gums..
Take a multivitamin tablet daily.
Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
