What Causes Swollen Lymph Node At The Base Of Ear?

I have a big knot on the left side base of the skull feels bruised to the touch about quarter size I also have a swollen lymph node pwa size at the base of my ear and last week I had a sore knot on the muscle of my neck not sure why this is going on no other symptoms

Lymph node swelling is common if you have infection of the draining region. Since you have mentioned it as ear, if you had infection of middle ear or tooth, it might have been swollen. By treating infection with antibiotics and analgesics, your lymph node swelling should come down. otherwise, it needs further evaluation.
