What Causes Swollen Lymph Node In Jaw And Tongue Intermittently After Having Surgery Under Tongue?

I had a surgery few months ago...
It was under my tongue and blockage of saliva.

Surgery went well. However, at times my lymph node by jaw will swell and also under my tongue. It makes it harder for me to eat and spit out thick saliva that I've been getting.

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding swelling under lower jaw and tongue after surgery of salivary gland for salivary obstruction.

As per your clinical history it appears as you were suffering from sailoadenitis with sialectasis. Commonest cause of it is stone and probably only stone is removed but sialoadenitis is still persisting which is causing swelling and thick saliva in mouth.

Other possibility is of Ranula floor of mouth which have re occur.

I think above answers your query.

Regards.
