i have a lymph node on side of neck that was swollen for a while, now lately it seems to swell at night, thatn after a few hours of activity during the day it shrinks back down! Another less pronounced one at the base of my skull that seems to do same thing. Node swelling started 2 months ago when i spent seveal hours in sun with no hat. Lymph nodes swelled, and bad case of acne on scalp started. Have always had problem skin but not like this. no pain in nodes, no fever or sweating. 53 yrs old. 5-10, 175 lbs, caucasioin male.
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
The swollen lymph nodes seem to be related to reactive lymph nodes. They are usually related to an infection in the system. Depending on the place of the lymph nodes, it might be an ear infection or a dental infection. So,I suggest to see an ENT specialist and a dentist to get evaluated. Meanwhile,I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation.
