What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In Groin Area And Behind Ears?

Hi my cervical lymph node on my right side, and and 2 in my lower scalp right side, and my lymph node behind left knee were enlarged. The knee was about 1 , the others were about 1 centimeter. Also my groin nodes were enlarged, maybe slightly less than a cm. My doctor ordered a blood panel to test for LDH, serum total protein, sed rate,, Uric Acid, CBC (inc diff/plt), Comprehensive Metabolic, and Draw fee, psc spec. He received the results but hasn t conveyed them to me yet. Instead he asked me to go to a lab and get a uninalysis complete with Reflex culture, and a Microalbumin/Creatinine Panel Random Urine. Neither of those tests seem to relate to enlarged glands. Why would a doctor order the urinialysis and the M/C Panel?

I appreciate your concerns regarding the swollen glands.
The data lacking in your question: Age, gender, duration of the problem, any associated symptoms like fever, weight loss, sweating, etc.

I have gone through the list of investigations your doctor has requested.
He wants to rule out the possible causes of generalized lymph nodes swellings;
Following are some of the important and common causes:

Without any associated symptoms some times it may be self limiting.
With associated symptoms like fever, night sweats, weight loss,

Infectious mononucleosis, Blood cancers (lymphomas/leukemias), HIV infection, Systemic lupus erythematosis.

In the above mentioned causes associated symptoms are present that will help in the diagnosis along with the relevant investigations advised.

Urine analysis and the M/C panel is requested to rule out the involvement of kidneys (specially in suspected systemic lupus erythematosis).
