What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In Neck Of A Child?

GM Doctor, I am Abhinav Tiwari & my Neohew is 5years old. We have observed some swelling spot like naughts in his neck & cunsulted to doctor. Doctor have advised for X-ray, but radiologist is also not sure about primary complex as he made a question mark. further doctor have advised for FNAC test. I am very Tensed about it. Please guide me.

Hello and welcome.

I am assuming the knots or lumps are in the anterior part of his neck, and this could possibly be related to abnormalities of the thyroid, parathyroid, etc.

A FNAC would be a good idea, and also inclusion of an endocrinologist in the panel of doctors you are consulting would be a very good idea. An ultrasound of the neck region will also help provide a more clear picture.
