What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Groin Area After A Splenectomy?

I had a splenectomy in 2010 and have had swollen lymphnodes in my abdomen and groin since. They do a CT scan every year. This year I was told I have more in my groin compared to previous years. They said they need to surgically remove one to biopsy it. Is this common?

Hello There

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that you should get that biopsy done may be they are suspecting some infective etiology.

Hopefully this information will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
