What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Neck And Numbness In The Legs?
I had mono for several months before the doctors figured it out they finally texted me and said I’ve had it for a while now it’s six months later and the lymph node on the right side of my neck is still swollen when I get up in the morning it’s smaller and gets bigger during the day and now for the last two months my legs and feet tingle and are numb
Hello dear. Welcome to 'Ask a doctor 'service. I read your question and here is the advice. Chronic, lingering infectious mononucleosis occurs in some patients. They experience profound fatigue, low-grade fever, swollen lymph glands, a sore throat, and aching muscles and joints. These symptoms can persist for months or years, and often cause the patient to be labeled neurotic because of a lack of objective evidence of disease. The condition can be definitively diagnosed by blood testing for antibodies to the Epstein-Barr virus. Unfortunately, diagnosis can provide psychological relief only, as there is no effective treatment or cure for the disorder. Your doctor may treat you within sterids to relieve symptoms but he needs to evaluate your physically.
Take care.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
