Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck (always swell when I get sick but this time they are huge). Can still eat and drink and breath. I had extreme fatigue, aches and chills for first 3 days and now just extreme night sweats, migraines, swollen nodes and stiff neck. But I can't seem to stay hydrated no matter how much water I drink. So thirsty, saliva doesn't seem be happening
My 3 yr old had a 24hr flu (no vomitting) and got better but I got sick and having lots of problems. I am also fighting a moderate size kidney stone in left kidney (not sure if related). Please help!
As per your complain swollen lymph nodes in neck also known as LYMPHADENOPATHY and it is commonly due to infections in the nearby and distant regions of the body. You should consult a Medicine specialist and get evaluated for:
1. Any prevailing or recurring infections on facial structures like ear, throat, nose, teeth, salivary glands, teeth and gums etc or at times infections of distant body parts may cause secondary infection and swelling in distant lymph nodes.
After thorough examination and investigations the correct diagnosis and treatment can be done. In case of infections and inflammation antibiotics like Augmentin or amoxicillin and antiinflammatory medicines like steroids can be taken. In case if there is some doubt still left Biopsy of lymph nodes can be done.
