What Causes Swollen Neck Glands?

Hi I just asked about swollen neck glands. I found the answer interesting about the white blood cells and the immune system . I have a suppressed immune system As a result of taking an RA pill methotrexate. I wonder if you had any further comments to add. Thanks

Hi
I can understand your concern.
The swollen neck glands (lymphadenopathy) can be due to infection, inflammation or cancer.
The RA pill Methotrexate being an immunosuppressive drug can cause a number of opportunistic infections including that of pharyngitis (sore throat). So, the lymphadenopathy could have been due to throat infection.
I advise you to consult your treating physician for the treatment of lymphadenopathy apparently caused by throat infection.

Hope this answers your query.
