What Causes Swollen Neck Lymph Node Along With Tonsillitis?

My son is 14 years old. He has has strep throat and then tonsillitis all within a matter of two - 2 1/2 months and has been on two rounds of antibiotics. He still does not feel well and has one side of his lymph nodes that are swollen. He also has one white spot in his mouth that will not go away. He is fatigued, doesn t sleep well, is weak and has problems breathing sometimes. My daughter has asthma so I have checked his chest with a stethoscope and his chest sounds normal. Any advice?
