Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern.

As per your query swollen nodes and tonsils with sore throat after tooth filling suggest tonsillitis or upper respiratory tract infection. Upper respiratory track infection occur due to both bacterial and viral infection . If you have already taken antibiotics and its not getting better then it means it is due to viral infection . Usually infection due ti virus go away in few days by its own , but if it persist for longer period then it become necessary to take medicine . So i would suggest you to undergo tests like throat swab test , viral culture test and CT scan to rule out causes like sinusitis . Sometimes in severe cases tonsillectomy become necessity when inflammation of tonsil causes broblem in breathing and swallowing . Doctor may prescribe be anti viral drugs ( acyclovir ) along with medicines to reduce inflammation . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterology if he find this problem related to acid reflux . For now do warm saline rinses several times a day .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
