What Causes Swollen Painful Lump On The Side Of Clitoris?

Hi, I recently found a small lump on the skin at the side of my clitoris (left side) it has swollen the area and is very sore to touch and has a constant dull ache when it isn t being touched. There is no head on it and it is about the size of a tic tac; it s hard too. I can actually hold the lump between my finger and thumb. I went to the doctor yesterday and she told me couldn t see a lump but, that I had thrush to which she prescribed me a pessary and cream. There is no difference in the lump today than there was yesterday. Will this go away on its own?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Irritation due to yeast infection can give swelling. Clotrimazole cream (Monistat) for local application will be helpful in such case. But if you have persistent lumpy feeling with pain then it can be an abscess (collection of puss) and in such case it should be drained. Consult your Gynecologist for this. You can do hot fomentation to get relief.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
