I have had a skin tag under my left breast for some time. Recently I have found it gets caught on clothing and that it now has swollen and taken on a dark red color as if filled with blood or something. Plus the skin around the skin tag appears reddish like an infection may be starting.
I have evaluated your particulars and would like to convey that it is a easily manageable problem. The first thing that you do is to clean that area and keep it scrupulously clean by frequent washing and application of some antibiotic cream. most of my patients with such complaints get almost completely well within a couple of days.
The next step should be its removal. For that, you may opt either for Radio Frequency cauterization or CO2 laser. Both are nearly equally foo but the cosmetic result with the latter is reported to slightly superior.
Thai is all you need to do. I am advising removal simply because it is prone to land you in difficulty repeatedly and it is bothersome. had it been on another body party, one could have waited or simply get it removed as per convenience.
I hope you will get well soon. Best wishes from Healthcaremagic!
