What Causes Swollen, Shut, Burning And Watery Eyes In An Infant?

My 14 mth old baby girl has had her eyes swollen shut for past 4 weeks. She can open them occasionally, but burn, water, and light sensitive. I have been in and out of multiple ER's, been to pediatrician about five times, and to the opthemoligist(sp?). She has been treated for everything including conjuctivitis & allergies. Right now she is on zyrtec and 2 types of eye drops, 1 antibiotic/steroid, and one for allergies. Nothing has worked, I am so upset and don't know what to do, she used to be so happy, now she cries all the time and is not eating well. I f it was allergies why aren't theses allergy meds working, tried them all.

it can only be bacterial or allergic conjunctivitis. clean the eye with sterile swab. irrigate the eye with sterile water. apply proper antibiotic like ofloxacin .3% 2 times and neosporine eye oint ment at night. it should improve in 7 days time or get it checked by eye doctor.
