What Causes Swollen Tonsils With Yellowish Pus On Both Sides Of Throat Behind Uvula?

My tonsils are really swollen and it hurts. When I swallow, it feels like I have something heavy in my throat more so on the left side. I also have yellowish pus like on both sides of the back of my throat and behind the uvula. Could this be sexually related or just a throat infection? My husband and I were intimate a few days ago and this is the first time I've noticed this.

u may be suffering from acute tonsillitis. the yellowish or whitish cheesy material which is seen coming from the tonsils is normal. it is the dead tissues of tonsils which is been expelled out. if u r having recurrent attacks its better to have tonsillectomy done . if its coming only less than 6 episodes per year antibiotics and betadine gargle along with good oral hygiene will do
