Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain pain, swelling and pus discharge from the area of wisdom tooth seems to be due to either of 2 reasons:
1. It can be either due to infection in the tooth leading to deeper decay and formation of pus below the root tips of the tooth and it is leading to
dental abscess formation..
2.It can also be due to
Pericoronitis that is inflammation of the gum flap surrounding the wisdom tooth and it can also lead to pain and pus formation..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and he can also advise you to get an x ray done..
In case of
tooth infection he can advise you either
root canal treatment or extraction of tooth depending upon condition of tooth..
In case of Pericoronitis either removal of the gum flap or extraction will be advised..
As of now you can take a short course of antibiotics like
Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Advil, warm saline gargles and do cool compresses over the cheek..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
