What Causes Syncope, Pain In Inner Left Thigh And Pelvic Area?
I fell during an episode of syncope from a sitting position. I became wedged under a bench on top of concrete during the episode. Now, I have a terribly sharp pain in my inner left thigh / pelvic area and my outer, back side hip area on the right. I fell on my right side with the left hip jammed under the bench. I cannot bear weight or lift my foot more than an inch on the left side. Not sure what to do...
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
The pattern of your fall has possibility of nerve, muscle or bone injury. Please take rest. Do not try forceful movement. No massage or fomentation. Call ambulance & go to ER for careful expert examination, needful investigations to find exact cause followed by specific management. You can take OTC pill Ibuprofen for temporary pain relief after food.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
