What Causes Tear On The Penis Post Intercourse?

Hi Dr Rynne...my boyfriend and I are having a terrible issue during intercourse every time we have intercourse he ends up with a cut and now its to the point that he thinks hairs are an issue so now im getting lazor removal which I have only had one visit...we are guessing this is the problem but dont know. Im not sore or anything after intercourse be he continues to be cut and now it is jepardizing our relationship...no idea what is the problem and would do anything to keep him

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Tear on the penile shaft can occur due to mechanical trauma during sexual intercourse.
Coarse pubic hair can cause mechanical trauma to the penile skin, however, they are unlikely to cause tears.
I suggest you to allow the penile skin to heal.
A clinical assessment of the penile skin by a dermatologist is required to rule out any primary skin disease.
Removal of pubic hair by laser may not be helpful.
