My 3 mo old granddaughter hard mass in mons pubis area during crying jag, actually it was on each side. It disappeared when she calmed down. I was changing her diaper at the time. I am a L&D nurse with nursery/ppm experience, have never seen this. All is fine now and the lumps have not made another appearance.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that she might be having infantile inguinal hernia appearing during increase intra-abdominal pressure like crying, coughing.
After pressure releases swelling subsides.
With advance age and health this might become alright.
Consult pediatric surgeon and get examined.
Ok and take care.
