What Causes Temporary Muscle Function Loss In Leg?

I have progressive temporary leg paralysis where I cannot walk or carry my body weight ( female 5 7 , 130 lbs). This has been progressing for more than a year. My legs get painful and I m unable to walk. I have to rest at least 20 to 30 minutes before I am strong enough to to continue. I am a 68 year old female who is otherwise generally healthy. This condition started about two years ago with terrible leg cramps at night and has now progressed to every day temporary leg paralysis. Now I am concerned about permanent paralysis. My husband was in hospice care at home for 1 1/2 yrs before he died in March. I wanted to seek help but was afraid of the diagnosis when he so so very sick. I am still depressed but need help. I have Medicare but I have nor sought help yet. What do you think is the problem? Most of the time I feel such emotional despair that I don t see a future, but since I am still alive and the pain is so great, I am reaching out to you for information and advice.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, your given history may not be suggestive of any paralysis but it could be musculoskeletal condition or at the most it could be some spinal degenerative disease, if this is the chronic complaint then better to get done the MRI of dorsal spine and stop worrying about paralysis hope this information helps.
I find this answer helpful
