What Causes Tender And Painful Lymph Node On Neck?

What could cause a hard, painful swollen lymph node in the neck (midway between the base of the right ear and middle base of neck)? It just popped up suddenly this morning. It s about the size of a avocado seed. My only other symptoms are fatigue and headache.

Having enalarged painful lymph node in this region indicates that you might be having some infection in surrounding area like throat, teeth, ear etc.
consult your doctor and get examined.
Meanwhile take ibuprofen medicine as and when required.
Ok and take care.
