What Causes Tender Dimple On The Back Of Knee?

hi im female aged 17, 5ft 5in and about 11 stone and have noticed a "dimple" has appeared on the back of my right knee. it is noticable when im sat down and also when im stood. it is not painful but is tender in the area. i can see no obvious mark on the skin
