What Causes Tender Spot On Neck Area With History Of Thyroid Nodule?

I had a thyroid biopsy last June, due to a thyroid nodule found during an MRI of the neck. I am currently feeling tenderness when I touch my neck in the same area. I have felt it for a while, but I am not sure how long. It is not really painful, but tender. I am wondering if I should make an apt to check it out.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Tenderness in the thyroid nodule requires clinical assessment and relevant investigations.
Tender thyroid nodules occur due to hemorrhage in colloid goitre and thyroiditis.
Neoplasms of thyroid are rarely painful.
The previous biopsy report is also required to know the nature of lesion.
There can be recurrence of same lesion again.
Thus, consult your treating doctor for further management.

Thanks and take care
