What Causes Tenderness And Itching In The Breasts?

I took the plan B pill about 5 hours after I had unprotected sex and I had been off my cycle for about 4 days when this happened. This was in November around the 16 or 17 and I have not had a cycle since then. I have not had sex since this happened. I have some breast tenderness and my breast itchy sometimes uncontrollably. I am 47 and do have some symptoms of being in the perimenopausal stage also. So, I do have times when my cycles have been very irregular as far as coming as specific times. They use to come every 23 days and now they just come whenever it chooses to. What is going on?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my clinical experience, the soreness in breast is due to possible hormone imbalance from peri-menopausal period.
* I suggest to maintain hydration with plenty of liquids and take symptomatic reliever as Aleve or else.

Hope I have answered your query.
